I'm from Hanover, NH and am the sixth of eleven children.  I've owned and run my own DJ business part-time since 1998 which fostered both my love of entrepreneurship and multi-media.  I graduated from Union College in Schenectady, NY  with a BA in Political Science.

While at Union, I completed my Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management & Leadership from the MBA program at Union Graduate College with a concentration in international business.  Through Union's grad program, I participated in global exchanges with Business Schools in China, Germany, and France.


Karlsruhe Institute of Technology resized 600My post-grad career began with two years doing Young Alumni fund raising for the Union College annual fund in the Dept. of College Relations (lots of traveling to Boston/NYC/Washington DC and networking with Union alums from all walks of life and different industries.)

Following my successful fund-raising experience, I worked for two years doing marketing, multimedia and consulting work at Garnet River LLC, a software development and website design firm in Albany, NY.  While at Garnet River, I led an implementation of Hubspot's Inbound Marketing product through which I gained a lot of experience and insight on the potential challenges and opportunities companies are confronted with when transforming the way they do marketing.

In 2010, I relocated to Boston to pursue an exciting new role as an Inbound Marketing Specialist at Hubspot, Inc in Cambridge, MA. As part of a fast paced software start-up, I spent 2 years consulting over 200 clients accounts from around around the world - helping transform their traditional marketing organizations into teams of cutting edge, inbound marketing rock stars!!!

In 2013, I joined the HubSpot Academy Team where I help create customer training content and professional certification products that help our users master inbound marketing, grow their businesses, and delight their clients.  I traveled all around the country speaking about HubSpot's mission to help make the world more inbound.

 

Running a digital marketing agency / HubSpot Agency Partner:

After nearly five years at HubSpot, the company that invented inbound marketing, I decided to make a transition to the customer side of the shop and joined Innovative Marketing Resources - a Platinum-certified HubSpot Agency Partner and Boston's leading inbound marketing agency.

 I was so fortunate to work with the awesome, fun, creative people on the HubSpot Academy Team.  The lessons learned from my time at HubSpot will continue to shape my career as an inbound marketer and agency leader for years to come.

There were many reasons I decided to make this big leap. After a very successful first year leading an inbound agency, I am very proud of what I and the IMR team were able to accomplish with the select group of HubSpot customers we served.

 

Helping make IMPACT the most trusted digital sales & marketing consultancy on the web

In January 2017, I joined HubSpot's #1 Agency Partner of the Year, IMPACT Branding and Design.  I worked on IMPACT's Sales & Customer Success Management Team.2017-06-27 17.47.49  As a CSM, it was my job to manage the business side of a client's engagement and enhance the value their receive out of their relationship with IMPACT. That included anything from developing new Statements of Work, to discussing PPC goals and even reporting up to IMPACT ownership about any areas of praise or concern and helping resolve issues. I'm very excited about the future of this growing team and how over the course of my nearly 3-year tenure there, IMPACT had grown to be one of the most trust sources of inbound marketing, sales and services expertise on the web.

 

Helping a Diamond Solutions Partner hit new heights through bringing new services, partnerships to market:

In November of 2019 I joined forces with Media Junction, another HubSpot ELITE-Certified Solutions Partner known worldwide for web design. Media Junction became the 5th agency ever to achieve the Diamond HubSpot Agency Partner tier, the 10th ever worldwide to hit HubSpot *Elite* Solutions Partner tier and is also one of the first StoryBrand Certified Agencies worldwide.

In my role as VP, my responsibilities were divided amongst the following:

  • Serving on the leadership team of the agency: Participating in and improving the firm's hiring process, working with the CEO, VP of Sales and VP of Client Success to plan and lead the team's implementation of new revenue streams to aid in the accomplishment of the company's growth goals. 
  • Growing strategic partnerships and generating business with Drift, HubSpot, StoryBrand, SiteImprove.
  • Coordinating with the agency's internal marketing resources to help us plan and create more thought leadership material - particularly in the area of pillar-content, staff bio videos, marketing webinars and interview-based podcasts.
  • As a sales representative for the agency - bringing new clients to the agency. This included conducting exploratory calls, goal setting calls, as well as creating and presenting proposals and finally closing new business with good fit clients.

 

Back into the martech startup world - joining Drift's marketing and partner program teams

In October of 2020, I joined a company that I greatly admire, Drift as a Senior Partner Marketer focused primarily on serving Drift's channel partner and technology partner alliance program. I now sit on the Drift marketing team and report to our VP of Content & Community, Mark Kilens. I work alongside the marketing team, partner team, and Drift Alliance & channel partners to drive awareness, education, and action from the Drift partner ecosystem.
